It’s the great “back to work” month and while many dread the long dark days of January, we like to use it as an opportunity to refresh a few things – and make a few changes for the year ahead with a brand new Mental Health Awareness course available.

The third Monday of January is touted to be Blue Monday and the “most depressing work day of the year”. This fell on the 16th of January this year and has, fortunately passed. The Blue Monday title was created as a marketing term by a now defunct travel agency and a Welsh psychologist – The company stated that their formula took into account seven factors: elapsed time since Christmas, monthly salary, weather conditions, outstanding debt, interval since previous failed New Year’s resolution attempt, low motivation, and the requirement for decisive action.
